Clinical Supervision
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Somatic Experiencing® Practitioner, I offer clinical supervision that supports growth, reflection, and embodied learning. My approach is rooted in trauma-informed, relational, and body-oriented frameworks, drawing from over a decade of experience in hospital, community, and private practice settings.
I provide supervision for clinicians working with survivors of trauma, intimate partner violence, and complex attachment dynamics, as well as those seeking to deepen their clinical attunement and confidence in therapeutic presence. Together, we explore both the art and science of clinical work by integrating theory, self-awareness, and somatic regulation to strengthen clinical judgment and prevent burnout.
Supervision sessions emphasize a balance of case consultation, skills development, and reflective practice. I support LCSW candidates pursuing licensure in New York State, as well as licensed clinicians seeking ongoing professional development and mentorship.
Education
Somatic Experiencing International (SEI)
I have completed advanced training in Somatic Experiencing®, a highly specialized, body-based approach to healing trauma. This training is intensive and comprehensive, spanning multiple levels over several years and including extensive practice, supervision, and mentorship. Somatic Experiencing® focuses on helping people safely process and release the physiological effects of trauma, supporting healing at both a physical and emotional level. My training equips me to guide clients with care and expertise, helping them reconnect with their bodies, build resilience, and access their natural capacity for recovery.
In supervision, I help clinicians recognize physiological cues, understand the body’s role in trauma recovery, and integrate somatic awareness into traditional psychotherapeutic approaches.
New York University
I earned my Master’s in Social Work from New York University, graduating Summa Cum Laude, with a focus on trauma-informed practice and social justice oriented service delivery. During graduate school, I conducted an IRB-approved research study examining domestic violence survivors and substance use, exploring the ways trauma intersects with addiction and co-occurring conditions. I was also selected as a Substance Abuse Research Education and Training (SARET) Fellow, a prestigious program funded by the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA), where I participated in multidisciplinary training focused on integrating trauma-informed clinical practice with substance use research and treatment innovations.
I am now proud to return to NYU as an Adjunct Lecturer at the Silver School of Social Work, teaching graduate-level courses such as Clinical Practice, Group Practice, and Clinical Practice with Substance Use Disorders. In the classroom, I emphasize bridging theory with practice and helping emerging clinicians develop curiosity, confidence, and the skills to work effectively with individuals, families, and groups impacted by trauma and its many effects. Through teaching and supervision, I aim to cultivate reflective, embodied practitioners who approach their work with empathy, ethics, and a commitment to ongoing learning.
Luther College
Center for Interamerican Studies (CEDEI)
I hold a Bachelor of Arts with dual majors in Political Science and Spanish from Luther College, where I developed a strong foundation in cultural studies, language, and global perspectives. I studied abroad in both Ecuador, at CEDEI–Centers for Interamerican Studies in Cuenca, and in Argentina, through the ISA Latin America Cultural Program at the University of Belgrano in Buenos Aires. My connection to Latin America began at the age of 16, when I first studied abroad in Costa Rica, and has continued to shape my worldview and clinical approach.
Throughout my professional career, every position I have held has been in a bilingual capacity, allowing me to provide therapy, supervision, case management and education in both English and Spanish. My bilingualism and cross-cultural experiences inform my trauma-informed, relational approach to clinical work centered on honoring language, culture, and identity as essential components of healing and connection.
